Stuck?! May 1st Sketch

Happy May Day, friends!  I'm just thrilled to be here today sharing my first page as a member of the Stuck?! Sketches Design Team.  Woohoo!  So, let's just jump right in.
I started this page by inking the bottom right corner of my woodgrain, base page, in Spun Sugar Distress Ink, with a couple of feathers; adding a trio of torn bits of Washi Tape to the top and bottom edges of the base page; and gold embossing lots of bitty hearts throughout.  I then topped them with a number of patterned papers.  Some of those papers were anchored with bright-pink-threaded, straight, machine stitches.  Others were hand cut in the form of pennants.  One was even punched with a row of hearts.  I also threw in a kraft, journaling card and bit of polka dot, embossed vellum.
A "date:" March 1, 2013 tab was tucked under their bottom edge...
and combined, they served as the foundation for my photograph, which I popped up with foam tape and embellished with a white doily, gold butterfly, and pink, "the best" pennant.
My photo was then topped with the "hello ROYAL queen" title, created from a die-cut, from Whisper White cardstock, "hello"; gold alphas; and Cameo-cut, from Strawberry Slush cardstock, "queen", which was also glittered.
The "NOTES" journaling card, upon which I wrote, You've always marched to the beat of your own drum.  Can't wait to see where it takes you!, was anchored against the top edge of the base page with more bright-pink-threaded, straight, machine stitches and topped with a few more gold embossed hearts, as well as a Cameo-cut, from Whisper White cardstock, word bubble, which contains the rest of my journaling.  You: "I'm the Royal Queen."  Me: "Well, the Royal Queen needs to go potty and get in bed."  You: "Royal Queens don't go to bed, Mommy."  An aqua doily and gold, polka dot tag, laced with a bit of white string, tied in a bow round out the cluster...
and a trio of buttons, laced with white string, guide our eye right back to the photo itself.
Here's your May 1st Sketch to get you started.
