The Studio Stars Challenge

Morning, friends!  Just popping in to share our latest challenge at The Studio.  We're asking for you to show us what you can do with stars this month.  I hunted through my stash; found a template, stamp, cut file, button, and even dies and papers that boasted just such and put this together to hopefully help inspire your own creations.  Enjoy!
I started this layout by rubbing Pumice Stone Distress Ink, through a star template, onto the gray, distressed, base page.  I then stamped it, in Night of Navy ink, with more stars, before adding a number of gold rubons, including the doilies and chevron bits.  LOVE the way the latter mimics the stitching on the baseballs, which were cut, with my Cameo, from Night of Navy cardstock.  I also used my Cameo to cut a bunch of stars from vellum and, in turn, cut that vellum in the shape of a variety of sizes of circles.  That same circle template cut a number of color-coordinating frames, which were then secured, with navy-threaded, straight, machine stitches, throughout the page, before adhering a trio of Washi strips and tucking my circular pics in amidst the organized chaos.
The "BEST DAY Ever", woodgrain, veneer title was then tucked between rows of chevrons, strategically positioned pointing to the title itself.
A trio of ticket tags, including one upon which I journaled, School Day @ the K, and May 15, 2008, flank the top photo...
and a couple bits of color-coordinating flair...
as well as a handful of die-cut, from a black, ticket, patterned paper, stars, two of which were highlighted with a couple of unique buttons, laced with white string, complete the look.
Further inspiration for this layout came from City Crafter Challenge Blog's Week 188 and ScrapFriends' Sketch Challenge #20...
as well as their Colour Palette Challenge #19.
This month’s sponsor at The Studio is FabScrapsFabScraps began in 2005 when Brigitte and Janine created one of the first truly local ranges of paper and matching accessories ever produced in South Africa.  FabScraps products are associated with artistic, approachable, and fun designs which have a wide appeal to scrapbookers who love all styles from retro to shabby chic.
Our December winner will receive some scrappy goodies from their Burlesque collection.  Woohoo!  Please be sure to stop by the challenge link above to get all your challenge details, as well as to see what goodness the rest of the team has whipped up just for your viewing pleasure.  Then, let's see what you've got.  Thanks so much for peeking in, and have a terrific week!
