Papercraft Star 96: Use a Stamp

Note: If you've come here looking for my Market Fresh May Kit Sneak Peek: Day 1 post, please scroll down.

So good to have you visiting for Papercraft Star's Challenge 96: Use a Stamp!
Well, that's an easy one for this designer!  LOL!  It's rare that I don't use a stamp.  So, I dug into my stash for a summer stamp set that I had wanted for the longest time; but then, things just got crazy, and believe it or not, I haven't ever gotten to use the sweet camper below.
I started this card by machine stitching, with black-threaded, straight stitches, around the edge of a piece of red, plaid, patterned paper; trimmed it, vertically, near its left edge, with a strip of strawberry, patterned paper, which I anchored with black-threaded, zig-zag stitches; and stamped its top right corner, in Basic Black ink, with the row of numbers, before adhering the prepped piece to the Crumb Cake, cardstock, card face.
I then stamped a strip of woodgrain, patterned paper, in Basic Black ink, with the "LET'S GATHER ROUND THE Campfire" sentiment; adhered it to a punched, across its top edge, strip of green, polka dot, glitter paper; secured the prepped piece flush with the bottom edge of the red, plaid, patterned paper; and anchored the two with black-threaded, straight, machine stitches, running the lengths of the woodgrain, patterned paper's top and bottom edges.
A length of black, gingham ribbon was then wrapped, vertically, around the card face, near the left, stitched edge of the strawberry, patterned paper; tied it in a bow; and embellished with an aqua button, laced with Baker's Twine.
The camper was stamped, in Basic Black ink, in its respective location; paper-pieced with aqua weave and pink, stripe, patterned papers, as well as Basic Black & Crumb Cake cardstocks; and highlighted with a Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker.  I also added a little Crystal Effects, to the tire, to complete the look.
Now, it's your turn!  Remember that you can always use the challenge photograph above as inspiration, if you so choose.  You have until next Monday, May 14, 2012, at 6:00 am EST, to link up your takes, over at the challenge link above, in order to be in the running to win digital sheets from our permanent sponsor, The House Across the Bay.
Please also use that link to check out what the rest of the team has been up to.  Jan is our featured designer this week.  We're also sad to see both Jennifer and Tracy moving on to other things.  While I've only been on the team a short while, these ladies, along with the rest of the designers, have made me feel so welcomed and right at home.  I cannot thank them enough for that and will miss them both deeply.  Ladies, I truly wish you the very best in everything you put your hands to.  And finally, we're welcoming the talented Ros Crawford to the team this week!  It's so good to have you, Ros!  Thanks ever so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Your work always looks so freshly laundered and pressed - you leave me wondering, do you use gloves or tweezers or what, lol. Probably a washing machine and iron when you are done ?? Well, this is a perfect example of your abilities, Jinny - always combining the perfect papers together, and a charming stamp. Really top-notch !! ♥♥♥ -J-
